Coupling are crucial components used in piping systems to connect two pipes in a straight line, ensuring uninterrupted flow and system integrity. These fittings provide a secure, leak-proof connection and are designed for easy installation and removal, making them ideal for maintenance, repairs, or system modifications. Couplings are available in various configurations, allowing them to accommodate different pipe sizes and pressure requirements across industrial sectors. There are several types of couplings commonly used in piping systems. Full couplings are used to join two pipes of the same diameter, while half couplings are designed to connect a pipe to a branch by welding on one end. Reducing couplings allow connection between pipes of different diameters, providing flexibility in pipeline design. Couplings are manufactured in both socket weld and threaded (screwed) ends, facilitating various assembly methods depending on the application.

They are available in sizes ranging from 1/8” to 4”, and pressure classes including Class 2000, 3000, 6000, and 9000, suitable for high-pressure environments. Common materials used include Carbon Steel (ASTM A105, A350 LF2), Stainless Steel (ASTM A182 F304, F316), Alloy Steel (ASTM A182 F11, F22, F91), Duplex and Super Duplex Steel, and Nickel Alloys like Inconel and Monel.
